Using the traditional Champagne method, they produced the wine in the “Brut Nature” style, adding no sugar at the time of disgorging. Took a minimalist approach to winemaking, so that the sparkling wine would be representative of this special vineyard and Freeman’s elegant house style.  The Yu-ki Blanc de Blancs’ fruitfulness is truly exemplary of the site.

About Folium

Folium vineyard is one of the smallest wineries <6 hectare> in Marlborough region. The annual production is around 3,000 cases only. The winery owner, Takaki Okada, is originally from Japan and he has been focusing on dry farming and organic vineyard management since 2010. His intention is always making unique wines each vintage different from his neighborhood as a boutique winery.
