Riesling Forte is a hybrid grape variety of Riesling and Koshu. Refreshing fruit flavours like green apple and citrus from Riesling characters with gentle acidity. There are subtly dried leaves and bitter flavours from Koshu characters.

Japanese original grapes blend, Muscat Bailey A 57%, Bailey Alicante A 24%, Black Queen 19%. Barrel aged for 12 months.

About Takahata

Takahata Winery is located at north latitude 38 same as Napa valley. Historically the region has been producing grapes and other stone fruits. Their wines are mainly made from European grape varieties such as Chardonnay but they have Japanesque series made from 100% Japanese indigenous grape varieties. These series wines express identities of typical Japanese characters such as dignity and gracefulness.
