About Izutsu
Izutsu winery is located in Shiojiri city, Nagano prefecture. They focus on Concord and Niagara grapes; the grapes used are originally for eating, so the wine will be very fruity, fresh, and have an easy / early drinking style.
Ryugan is a Japanese original grape variety mainly grown in Nagano. Ryu- Gan (竜眼) means Dragon Eye literary. The grape has gentle citrus or green apple aromas, refreshing acidity, and fruitiness. There is slight saltiness giving a nice accent.
