Izutsu winery is located in Shiojiri city, Nagano prefecture. They focus on Concord and Niagara grapes; the grapes used are originally for eating, so the wine will be very fruity, fresh, and have an easy / early drinking style.

Using selected Merlot grown in Kikyogahara region in Nagano. Aged in new oak 100% for 18 months. Mellow fruitiness of Merlot, smooth texture and tannin, and balanced acidity with integrated oak notes. The impression may be gentle wine, but it is the style in Japan and the elegance of Japanese wine.
